We’ve just learned the bad news that Denny Findley KD5YRR has passed away. Denny suffered a heart attack and was declared deceased at 4pm on Friday, May 8th.
Denny was best known for his laugh, generous spirit, distinctive voice on the radio, driving a convertible and smoking cigars out on the back patio of his house while talking on the AARO radio nets.
He held a general class ham license, and was a member of AARO. His “day job” was providing chaplain services at various prisons.

…fond memories of the great love mi amigo Denny always showed for his beautiful First Lady and that he/they so graciously allowed me to record on this photo…
I will certainly miss that distinct way of saying “And this is Kay-Dee-Five-Y-ahR-ahR”…

Denny, will be sorely missed. I only knew him a couple years, but I know he was a good friend and fellow brother in Christ. While we miss him here, I know he is enjoying his Heavenly home at the right hand of Christ. We who know Christ also know that we will see Denny again. May God’s love and comfort surround friends and family he has left behind.
