Well, it’s that time again for the 6th annual Alamo Area Law Enforcement Explorer Competition (AALEEC) which will be held this year on Saturday October 19th, 2013 at the Southwest High School 11960 Dragon Lane, San Antonio, TX 78252. (Loop 1604 & Old Pearsall Rd on the SW side of San Antonio.)
Ham radio operators are being coordinated by Dave Espinoza W5QS. We need about a dozen or more hams to properly cover the various areas. We will be using simplex 2 meter frequencies or possibly 440.

Explorers from across of Texas and New Mexico will be competing in various events to include:
- Academic Challenge
- Accident Investigation (ST-3 form)
- Arrest-Search-Seizure
- Bicycle Obstacle Course (Both Explorer and Advisor) *Bicycle course will be an open event to any Explorer and Advisor (bikes and gear will be provided for this event).
- Bomb Threat
- Building Search
- Crime Scene Search
- Crisis Intervention
- Domestic Disturbance
- Felony Stop
- Foot Pursuit
- Missing Persons (new this year)
- Robbery in Progress
- Traffic Stop
Lunch will be provided to participants, volunteers, and Advisors.
The San Antonio Spurs will be involved again this year. They are waiting on the pre-season schedule to released by the NBA to determine what they will be offering us. Also we are in contact with several area hotels and will be send out this information as it becomes available. There will be no limit on number of teams a post may enter.
