To the Bandera 100K Ultra-Marathon Radio Team!
The expression of Thanks and Gratitude for our efforts in support of this event, cannot be properly expressed in words! The comments about the efforts of the team have been nothing but positive, appreciative and supportive!
We managed to again increase the level of communication amongst the Aid Stations and Race Controls, with only a few minor glitches. The smoothness of knowing where the final batch of runners on the course, and continual updating allowed for early and incident free shutdown of all Aid Stations, well in advance of the traditional times!
As of 5:32 A.M. Sunday morning, the last two runners, Bib numbers 150 and 151 had finished the race. 126 runners started the 100k, 115 finished, and 85 % completion rate, never before seen at this event!
From myself, Thank You for maintaining your support of the event! Each year we have improved our capability and reliability, and next year will be no exception. Several improvements needed were noted, and will be acted upon over the coming year!
I personally, would like to see your comments and ideas on improving the communication at an event such as this, and overall, should improve our abilities at many events we provide services!
We have been asked to again place on our schedule, plans to provide Radio Communications for the 2010 event!
