No email.<\/li>\n<li><strong>March 25<sup>th<\/sup> &#8211; Capitol 10K Race &amp; Fun Run- 35th Anniversary<\/strong>!\u00a0 35th Anniversary &#8211; Sunday, March 25, 2012. Packet Radio used to transmit canoe numbers to other stations down the river. \u00a0\u00a0Some positions are short (closer to start line), and others are mosquito bait (late into the night).\u00a0 This event can be lots of fun, sort of a mini-Field Day event, combined with a picnic. Both events will be one day events, starting and ending at same location, rather than the previous years where we started in San Antonio, stayed over night in San Marcos, and finished in Austin.\u00a0 Austin will come first on May 5th, followed by San Antonio&#8217;s event on May 19th.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>May 5th &#8211; route maps for the AUSTIN RIDE&#8230;\u00a0\u00a0http:\/\/diabetes.org\/austintourdecure<\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>May 19th &#8211; South Texas Tour de Cure (San Antonio) <\/strong>will start and finish at Champion High School on the south side of Boerne, Texas (just off Hwy 46, east of IH-10).\u00a0 Lee Besing, N5NTG, coordinating.\u00a0 Contact Lee at 210-771-7075 or <a href=\"mailto:info@sanantoniohams.org\">info@sanantoniohams.org<\/a> for more information.<\/p>\n<p><strong>This year Hams Rule!\u00a0 Well, sorta.\u00a0 We&#8217;re expected to staff 8 break points \/ rest stops, plus 8 of the white 15 passenger SAG Vans, and the start \/ finish<\/strong>.\u00a0 Because the routes are challenging (4 routes, 2 go north, 2 go south), we&#8217;ll likely need to run 2 net controls.\u00a0\u00a0 We&#8217;ve already been in contact with <strong>KARS (Kendall Amateur Radio Society)<\/strong> to get their help &amp; use of their repeater, and with the <strong>Kerr Hams (Kerrville)<\/strong> to get their help and use of their repeater on the northern loop of the 104 mile route between Comfort &amp; Kerrville.\u00a0 Below are some screen shots of the four (4) routes that start \/ end in Boerne.\u00a0\u00a0 Note the 104 mile route overlaps the 60 mile route, and the 30 mile route overlaps the 18 mile route.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Click the images below\u00a0for a much larger view of each route.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/sanantoniohams.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/104_Mile_2012.png\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-5936\" style=\"margin: 10px;
