{"id":452,"date":"2009-03-29T17:41:10","date_gmt":"2009-03-29T23:41:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sanantoniohams.org\/blog\/?p=452"},"modified":"2018-11-28T05:56:40","modified_gmt":"2018-11-28T11:56:40","slug":"sahams-electronic-newsletter-march-29th","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/sanantoniohams.org\/blog\/?p=452","title":{"rendered":"SAHams Electronic Newsletter &#8211; March 29th"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I emailed out the very first electronic newsletter for <a href=\"http:\/\/sanantoniohams.org\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"broken_link\" rel=\"nofollow\">San Antonio Hams website<\/a>, to a list of about 250 hams in the San Antonio Area, plus a few from the IH-35 Corridor up towards Austin, and a few of our ham friends from the Houston area.<\/p>\n<p>14 hours later, only 1 ham asked to be unsubscribed and that was taken care of automatically by the email campaign software I was using.\u00a0\u00a0 I had several responses thanking me for the information, especially the news about AA5XH&#8217;s passing (3\/24\/2009) and visitation service happening on Monday (03\/30\/2009).\u00a0 Had one ham&#8217;s name crossed posted wrong with another ham, but he contacted me to get it corrected.\u00a0 (Sorry about that, Harvey!)<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Had a few that bounced back saying the message had &#8220;aspects similar to Spam&#8221;, even though I had pre-screened the message first thru a &#8220;no spam&#8221; service and got a low &#8220;0.494&#8221; score, and a score of &#8220;3.0+&#8221; is considered Spam by most email servers.\u00a0 Guess you can&#8217;t satisfy every anti-spam program. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8230;and I commend you, sir, for such outstanding effort in keeping all hams posted.\u00a0 Please, do always keep me in the loop, Lee!<\/p>\n<p>Gracias y Siete Tres, Jorge<br \/>\nhttp:\/\/www.myspace.com\/WP4KTF<br \/>\n&#8230;also on Twitter and Jorge Martinez on Facebook!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>Thank you very much for the newsletter.
