There are different roles, or levels of capabilities that can be assigned to a user who registered with this Blog and asked for higher privileges…<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n

I’ve recently relaxed the privileges a bit<\/strong>, to allow comments ro be posted without first registering or logging in as a user on the blog.\u00a0 I’m running some anti-spam filters on all comments to reduce that sort of crap being posted, but I’m sure some will slip in eventually.<\/p>\n

I’m still going to moderate them<\/strong>, but if you register as a user, once I’ve approved the first comment, all others get posted “live”, subject to my later editing or disapproving inappropriate content.\u00a0\u00a0 I received several comments saying they wanted to post a comment, but didn’t want to register first, so this change is in response to those requests.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Login User Names are typically your callsign, upper case,<\/strong> but can be anything.\u00a0 These are case sensitive, so remember how you typed it. Passwords are automatically assigned to new users, and sent to you via email to verify your email address as well.\u00a0 Your first “job” when you log in the first time, is to add your name and other info, and change your password to something you can remember easier.\u00a0 I can’t see\u00a0your password.\u00a0 I can reset a password, but can’t view them.\u00a0 There is an automated\u00a0built-in option for handling lost passwords in the software, it will email you a new auto password, but you need to remember your user ID.\u00a0 If you forget that, please contact me direct for assistance.\u00a0 My info is at the bottom of every page.<\/p>\n

Here is a short description of what each “role \/ level” is allowed to do<\/strong>, and then a list of those who are currently allowed to do “stuff” on their own here.\u00a0 The call signs are in no particular order.\u00a0 If you find your call sign on this list, you can do\u00a0 what your current role \/ level allows.\u00a0<\/p>\n

If you want bumped up a level, contact me and let’s talk about it.<\/strong>\u00a0 If’ you’re using a fake email address, such as those from Russia, don’t bother asking.\u00a0 I only approve hams for higher privileges, since this site is all about ham radio.<\/p>\n
