{"id":1813,"date":"2009-07-02T21:20:46","date_gmt":"2009-07-03T03:20:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sanantoniohams.org\/blog\/?p=1813"},"modified":"2009-07-02T21:35:14","modified_gmt":"2009-07-03T03:35:14","slug":"24-hour-emcomm-mini-boot-camp-cancelled","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/sanantoniohams.org\/blog\/?p=1813","title":{"rendered":"24 Hour EmComm Mini Boot Camp Cancelled"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" title=\"boot_camp\" src=\"http:\/\/sanantoniohams.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/07\/boot_camp-200x102.jpg\" alt=\"boot_camp\" hspace=\"5\" width=\"200\" height=\"102\" align=\"right\" \/>The much shortened version of my full 3-day Jump Team Boot Camp\u00a0which was offerred\u00a0for a July date \u00a0<strong>has been cancelled<\/strong> due to not enough interested parties <a href=\"mailto:alonestaryank@aol.com\" target=\"_blank\">signing up<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This was to include such sections as site\u00a0survey\u00a0before structures are erected, sheltering and how\/where to properly put them up, station operating posts, antenna building and erection, power generation, food support\/dining areas, message handling, troubleshooting your station, propagation, water purification, basic survival techniques, creating a complete\u00a0EmComm cache of gear to have on the ready, etc.<\/p>\n<p>All participants would have been exposed to every phase so they would have been able to \u201cdo it all\u201d from scratch\u00a0in case of an emergency, with session taught by a team of experienced communicators and also survival experts from the military.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note: My full 3-day boot-camp is still being\u00a0held in late October.
