Welcome to the Home of the Alamo SAG Team

The Alamo SAG Team is an intrepid group dedicated to the goal that no bike ride should be unsupported.  Seriously, Central Texas has a lot of bike rides, many of which are supported by amateur radio operators.  Some of these rides such as the BikeMS rides are large and have a well defined organizational team.  Others are smaller with one fearless amateur radio operator taking on the tasks of recruiting hams, assigning hams to positions, keeping track of volunteer forms, creating a communications plan, etc., etc.  The goal of this site is to become a tool to aid the amateur radio organizers of these smaller rides.  This project is initiated by Lee Besing-N5NTG and Milton Johnson-N5HMJ.

So what are the events we are using to test and develop this tool?  Why the Mother of all Bike Rides, the 2010 BPMS150 and the 2010 Tour de Cure - San Antonio to Austin.  How does the 13,000 rider BPMS150 count as a small ride?  Click on the links above for these events.
